We place the highest value on worship, believing that it is the main reason for our existence. The shorter Westminster catechism expresses it in the statement The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy him forever. Worship is at the heart of everything we do and is our motivation for every area of church life. So worship is not simply an element of our Sunday meetings but is about our relationship with God as we live in obedience to him flowing out of hearts that love him.
What we do
We have a group of about 20 talented musicians who faithfully serve the worship ministry of WSVC. For morning celebrations, they are separated into Bands for each week of the month and play together on that week each month. Each band is led by a band co-ordinator who organises everythingand ensures it all goes smoothly, and is made up of about 6 members including vocalists, guitarist, bassist, keyboard player and drummer . The band co-ordinator isn't necessrily the worship leader of the band. For 'Room To Breathe', our evening service, there will usually be a vocalist, and a guitarist and keyboard player and will be more low key and chilled.

Want to get involved?
To get involved in worship teams at church, we require that you have been part of the church for at least 6 months, are part of a kinship and serve regularly on another team at church. You will be required to audition for a place and be a good team player and have a servant heart.
Worship training
We place a high priority on training and equipping worship leaders and musicians.
Beginners guitar lessons - run by Jayne Mauger. We can teach anybody how to play guitar and lead worship in a small group. All you need is a guitar and a heart for worship. Next available course - January 2009 as september course all booked up.
Kinship worship leaders jamming - run monthly to help kinship worship leaders with sorting sets, leading effectively and to generally help and support.
This is the blog site of the worship team of West Suffolk Vineyard showing whats happening with us, and other random bits and pieces about worship and the church which might be interesting.
